Outside Reading Book and Semester Final

Don't forget to bring your outside reading book to class tomorrow. We will review the requirements for your letter to your author, and you will write a second installment of your summary.

Please read for a minimum of thirty minutes per day from your book.

Although we will complete a study guide for the semester final next week, you can get a jump start on studying by reviewing all of the sentence patterns we have learned this year--for example, sentences that use parallel phrases and clauses, sentences that begin with a prepositional phrase, sentences that use the appositive, sentences that use a semicolon and conjunctive adverb, and more. Your copy of the Freshman English Handbook, GraphoMania, and your own notes will help you with this studying.
